Cowtown Kennels is tucked up against the high divide between the Powder and Tongue Rivers 20 miles southeast of Miles City, Montana and offers you a selection of only the finest quality North American Miniature Australian Shepherds.  Billed as the "Cowboy Capital of the World", our cattle ranch lies in the heart of cow country.  A family ranch, we run 1200-1300 head of beef cattle on 45,000 acres of Montana rangeland.  We do the majority of our livestock work horseback, keeping with the tradition of the Old West.

Although strong herders and good workers, we don't represent our North American Miniature Australian Shepherds as competitive working trial dogs since all of our dogs must become family dogs and pets first and foremost.  We select primarily for disposition, temperament, conformation, and trainable attitudes.  All of our puppies are hand-raised with our family and small children in our home here on our Montana ranch.

Puppies going to their new homes are well socialized and are FULLY GUARANTEED.  With years of experience in airline shipping, we try to make it as easy as possible for your new puppy to become part of your family.

ALL of our breeding dogs are OFA hip certified and eyes are cleared on a regular basis by a licensed ophthalmologist.
